Privacy Policy

We collect as little information as we need to run Deskfast. Here's everything we do with what we do collect.

Last updated May 12, 2026

What we collect

Email address

Collected voluntarily when you join the pre-order email list or make a purchase. Used to send the launch email and, if applicable, to deliver your license key and repository access.

Payment information

Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your full card details. From Stripe we receive your email, name, country, last four digits of the card, and the amount paid.

Site analytics

If a privacy-respecting analytics tool is enabled (Plausible, Fathom, or similar), it records aggregate page-view counts and referrer domains. No personal profiles, no fingerprinting, no third-party ad trackers.

What we don't collect

We do not collect IP addresses for marketing purposes, sell data to third parties, run cookie-based ad networks, or build user profiles for any purpose other than fulfilling your purchase and sending the launch email.

Third parties

Stripe

Processes all payments. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

Kit

Stores the pre-order email list and sends launch notifications. Their privacy policy is at kit.com/privacy.

Hosting

The site runs on Vercel (or the hosting provider in use at the time). They collect routine server logs as part of operating the platform.

No one else

We do not share data with any other party. We do not run ad retargeting pixels. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

How long we keep it

Purchase records

Kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, typically seven years after the transaction.

Email list

Kept until you unsubscribe.

Server logs

Rotated by the hosting provider, typically within 30 days. We do not retain copies.

Your rights

Access, export, delete

You can ask us to access, export, or delete your data at any time. Email hi@deskfast.com from the address on file. We action requests within seven days.

GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA

If you are in the EU, the UK, or California, you have additional rights under those regulations. The contact email above is the single channel for all such requests.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Functional storage is limited to the analytics tool above (if enabled) and to remembering your dismissal of the sticky pre-order card on this site.

Children

Deskfast is sold to professional software developers. It is not intended for use by anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will email everyone on the email list with a change summary and post the updated version here with a new effective date.
