Terms of Service

Deskfast is a software boilerplate for shipping paid desktop apps, sold under a single-buyer license. A purchase covers a one-time license to clone and use the Deskfast source for any apps you ship commercially under your own brand, plus lifetime updates to the boilerplate codebase.

Early bird buyers also receive access to a founder Discord channel and 90 days of direct founder support, starting on the v1 release date.

The license is per buyer, not per app. You may build and ship as many apps as you want under your own brand from a single purchase. Full license terms are described in the License Agreement.

Pre-orders are charged immediately through Stripe at the time of purchase. The first public release is targeted for July 2026. You will receive your license key and repository access by email on the release date.

If the release date slips, we will email everyone who pre-ordered with an updated timeline before the original date passes. You can request a refund at any time before release.

Full refund within 30 days of your pre-order, no questions asked. If the v1 release has not shipped at the time you ask, the refund window remains open until it does.

Email hi@deskfast.com from the address you used for purchase. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.

• Apple Developer Program account ($99/year, paid directly to Apple) required for macOS notarization
• Windows EV code signing certificate (pricing varies by issuer)
• Hosting for your app, license server, or any related infrastructure
• General Electron or Tauri technical support outside the scope of the boilerplate
• Guarantees about specific OS versions or upstream platform features

Deskfast retains ownership of the Deskfast boilerplate source, deskfast.com, and all related trademarks. Your purchase grants you the license described in the License Agreement, not ownership of the underlying boilerplate.

Anything you build on top of Deskfast is yours. Your app, your customers, your revenue, your IP.

The Deskfast boilerplate and the deskfast.com website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do our best to keep both working and shipping updates, but we make no warranties that the boilerplate or the site will be uninterrupted, bug-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Code signing requirements, OS APIs, and third-party services (Stripe, Apple, Microsoft) change over time. We will update the boilerplate accordingly when feasible, but we can't guarantee continuity of any specific upstream feature.
